O SPS – Sustainability Performance Assessment Framework and Benchmarking of the Public Sector is a 3-years research project funded by the national institute Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia and coordinated by CENSE – Environmental and Sustainability Research Center of the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and ISEGI – Instituto Superior de Estatística e Gestão de Informação of the same university.

The aim of this research project is to build and apply to the Portuguese case study a framework for the effective performance assessment of sustainability of the Public Sector organizations not only at an operational level but also at a strategic level.
